October 2013

This month as FLOWN by!  We've had lots of rainy days keeping the kids indoors so they've painted, we made cookies, and necklaces to help keep them busy.  The boys are doing well in school and for the most part they really enjoy going.  Stetson has become such an amazing little reader, I love that he doesn't have to sound out words anymore, he just looks and reads.  Kyson is such a sweetheart, his teacher says, he wants to be friends with everyone!  He is also very smart and has mastered his ABC's and their sounds, next he is going to be reading and is doing small math problems.  Amazing!   Kadence is also doing well in preschool and is finally getting so close to writing her first name, yay!  She has also mastered riding her bike without training wheels!  She has been working on this for a couple months and her dad took her training wheels off once, but all Kadence would do is push her bike around, she was afraid.  Then one day at the park she was so determined to ride her buddy Deven's bike, and she did a few times for a few feet, but kept tipping over.  Finally she started riding the neighbor girl Taryn's old bike, that had a flat tire, and for some reason she just took off!  Maybe the flat tire made it easier to ride and not tip, Hahaha!  We have taken Kadence's training wheels off for good now and she is SO proud!  Little Miss Sweet P is getting so big!  I had gotten lazy with her at nights when she would wake, I would just reach over to the bassinet, pull her in bed with Roy and I, feed her and fall back asleep.  Roy started getting on me about this becoming a bad habit, as we have never let our children sleep with us, although I did this same thing with all of them when they were tiny...just probably not as bad as I did with Pais.  So we got the crib all set up for her a few weeks ago, and she sleeps so good in it!  Knock on wood!!  She is also starting to put herself to sleep, I feed her and snuggle her for a few minutes, give her the binky, lay her down with a blanket and she drifts off.  Its a little sad because I want her to be snuggly, but she just doesn't want to snuggle unless she is nursing :(  My kiddos are all growing and changing so much!

 4 months old, WOW!
I love how the elephant is wrapped around her, she is starting to grab everything.
