July 2014

Last spring we decided that camping was going to be a huge hobby of ours-more so than in years past so we upgraded to a really nice 5th wheel trailer with a slide.  Last year we went camping maybe 4 times-ha ha.  Isn't that how it goes?!  So this year we have gone tons more!  We've gone up the mountain and stayed nearly every weekend or every other weekend since memorial day.  Its been fantastic, even if its only for one night.  We've also taken the boat out a few times, the kids love it, Paislee likes to ride, but HATES her life jacket.  She screams when we aren't going mock 90, hitting waves, bouncing along.  Its sad and kind of funny.  We have spent so much time together as a family, I love all the memories we are making together and I hope my kids will remember all these fun times.  I love that Roy doesn't work many weekends, and if he does its usually only for a few hours.  He is a wonderfully husband, dad, and provider.
This summer is flying by with all the fun we're having.  I can't believe school is starting in just a few short weeks.  I'm not ready in the least, haven't bought one stitch of clothing, pencils, backpacks, notebooks-nothing!  The only thing I'm ready for is to get back on somewhat of a schedule.  I like knowing what to expect (surprises are okay occasionally).  I'm anxious to see what teachers my kids will have and if Kadence will go to all day kindergarten or half day.  I'm okay with either, although I do think all day would be very beneficial to her.  Paislee will be lost without he brothers and sisters here to torture her!  Oh my what will she ever do?!  I think I'll start taking her to story time at the library once or twice a week so she can interact with other children.
