This post is late...late by over a month! Better late than never...I'll never forget the day my first born made me a mommy and Roy a daddy. I spent the night in the hospital Tuesday night with cervadil in my cervix to help me start dialating and thinning out. It stayed in for 12 hours and then Wednesday morning, February 22nd, around 8 am Dr Nolte came in and took it out. I was only dialated to a 1...it was very discouraging. I didn't know what to expect since this was my first baby, but a week and a half before I had an ultrasound done that measured my baby boy being 8 lbs 1 oz. My mother had 9 and 10 pound babies so I was worried Stetson would come out huge! The nurses encouraged me to get up and shower and the Doctor came back around 9 and was able to break my water and pitocen was started through my IV. My contractions started and steadily got worse and worse...I wanted to go home and forget this nonsense, my baby could stay in forever! The nurses kept upping the pitocen making the pain even worse, I thought surely I would die. I was thinning out slowly, but I was NOT dialating. So they refused to let me have an epidural because it could cause labor to slow or stop. Roy left around 12:30-1 to get something to eat, while he was gone my Grandma Vee called to check on me and I completely LOST it! I was a crying, bawling mess...my grandma and I have a super close, special relationship so as soon as I answered the phone I just started crying and telling her how bad it hurt and I couldn't do it. Of course then she started sobbing...right after I got off the phone with her Roy came back and I grabbed his hand and didn't let go, I squeezed the life right out of during every contraction which were coming every 2 minutes fast and hard. My Dad and stepmom showed up around 4, and then my sister came as well. The nurses continued to check me and I was just not dialating, I was so tense, I couldn't relax and let my body do anything. I cried, I wanted to die! FINALLY around 7 pm Dr Nolte came and said to just let me have the epidural because if I didn't start doing something soon I would have to have a c-section anyways. I got my long awaited epidural...15 minutes later, I felt like I needed to have a bowel movement...the nurse didn't think anything would happen so quickly but she checked me anyways...I was finally fully complete! The epidural helped me relax and I dialated from a 1 to a 10 in just 15 minutes. I began pushing around 7:30 and our beautiful, perfect little guy was born at 8pm! It was the longest, best day ever. I can't believe he is 8! For his birthday Roy and Kys had dentist appointments in SLC so we made a trip and went to what used to be Planet Play. Its different now and not nearly as fun or good as it used to be, but the kids enjoyed playing the games and eating some pizza. Afterwards we went to the hotel and swam. The kids and us all slept good, other than Kyson getting turned around in bed and kicking Kadence in the face. All in all it was a fun weekend.

Mini Golf!!
Bumper cars were a huge hit!
Had to post one of Little Missy in her cute suit, she wasn't thrilled, but cheered right up when we got in the pool!!
