School

I haven't plugged my camera into the computer and pulled pics off for awhile, so when I finally did and saw my kids first day of school pics I wanted to post them-better late than NEVER!  Stetson went into 3rd grade  this year, and man is that kid SMART!  I'm so incredibly thankful he is such an amazing student and child, he blows me away with his knowledge and things he remembers.  He  loves learning about animals, reptiles, and doing science type stuff, but he is also a PHENOMENAL reader.  Although Stet can be super duper head strong and stubborn, I love him to death and i'm so glad he chose me to be his mother.  My sweet Kyson buddy went into 1st, I wasn't sure how exactly being at school all day would go for him, but of course he has done fantastic!  He loves his teacher, recess, and of course lunch.  He is growing up so much, his reading is getting better every week.  Some days its still a little painful to listen to him sound out every single little letter of every single word, but he is improving and I LOVE it.  He does great with numbers and counting, but his handwriting could use some improvement-we are working on it at home.  Kys is a good boy with a huge heart, he loves talking and making new friends, but of course his cousin Carter is his best buddy at school, although they aren't in the same class.  My not so little girl, Kadence went into Kindergarten...she had some MAJOR anxiety about going to school every day....some days she seemed excited and somedays I wondered if I should wait another year (she has a June bday, so she is a bit on the young side).  I wasn't sure how the first day would go, but I promised her I would take her to class and stay for just a minute.  We met up with Roy for lunch at subway then made our way home for a jacket-it was POURING rain-then off to school.  We jumped through puddles and ran in trying not to get completely drenched.  Once we reached her class she immediately teared up...I sat by her at her desk, meanwhile P ran around the classroom touching and grabbing everything she could get her fat hands on, I got her calmed down and coloring, took a pic and told her I had to leave.  Then the water/fireworks REALLY began!  Her teacher walked over and told her to tell mom goodbye, I hugged her, grabbed Pais and walked out.  I could hear her sobs and crying all the way to the office at the other end of the building!  It was heartbreaking, thank goodness I had Paislee to hug on and hide my tears.  It was one of the hardest/saddest things I've ever done.  But I knew the longer I hung around the worse it would be. I was a nervous, anxious wreck ALL afternoon, couldn't hold still or sit down.  I paced, I checked the clock, I watched the rain, I checked the clock, I checked my phone, I checked the clock, I looked at my phone...Okay no news is good news...right?  The school would have called if there was a real problem.  Finally 4:00 came and my kids got off the bus....and guess what?  Kadence was ALL SMILES!  She had a great first day, wheW!  The next day she fussed a little getting on the bus, but ever since she has loved going to school and gets super bored and lonely waiting at home for school time.

Kadence falling apart, I told her teacher-'Hey we are making memories'  Haha
Trying hard to smile through her nervous tears...Break a mama's heart!
Was a bit sad to ride the bus, but she loves it now!!
