Christmas Tree

We usually go get our Christmas tree the Sunday right after Thanksgiving, but this year we had dentist appointments in SLC so we planned to go the next weekend.  I went and got the tree permit and we planned to drive out to the book cliffs to find our perfect tree, have lunch, and come home.  Well as luck would have it Roy had to go to work Saturday and Sunday that weekend, BOO.  I was actually mad and kinda hurt because he said if he got called to work Sunday as well he wouldn't go....he had to go, there was no one else.  So Sunday morning the kids and I loaded and went to Lowes...to get a tree.  We blindly picked a 6-7 foot tree that was wrapped up.  The guy said as the tree warmed up it would fluff out.  When we got home Kyson new right where to find the tree stand, thank goodness for that little smarty pants.  We managed to get the tree in the stand and then into the house.  The boys started pulling the branches down and before long we had a BEAUTIFUL, full Christmas tree.  It smelled AmAzInG!  When Roy came home later that night we moved the couches around and got the tree where we wanted it.  The kids had fun decorating as I pulled my hair out and managed to smile and tell them how great of a job they were doing.  As soon as the kids weren't looking I re-decorated a few things.

Twinkle, our Elf.  Twinks was pretty boring this year, maybe he will learn new tricks for next year :)
