Well so much for blogging and keeping up with it, haha. This past year has FLOWN by, summer especially. We have had a good year, busy, and lots of hard work but thankful that my husband is teaching our kids that life isn't just about video games and playing. We went on some small road trips this spring to Boise, Twin falls, and Blackfoot ID. We contemplated moving out of UT to try something new, but that didn't pan out. We road tripped around Idaho, Nevada, and Wyoming in search of a new place to call home, but nothing really jumped out at us although we really liked Idaho and the price of homes with property. Maybe someday we will get out of Vernal, but for now we are stuck.
The kids started school with Stetson going into 4th, Kyson 2nd, and Kadence 1st. They were all happy to start school, but I cried. Paislee is super lonely and bored without anyone to pester her all day. One week into school Kadence fell off the monkey bars and I got the dreaded phone call from the school that NO parent wants to hear...."uh Sadie....we are pretty sure little miss Kadence has broken her arm" After nearly 3 hours in the ER we were sent home only to have to come back in 2 1/2 for her to go into surgery with the Orthopedic surgeon to set the bones-yes bones, both busted in half :( Surgery was about 1 hour and 15 mins, recovery for an hour and finally home around 9:30. Kadence has been a real trooper through the whole ordeal. Next week she gets her hard cast and it will be short!! The one she has now goes a little over her elbow, and looks to me to be super awkward.

I have finally decided to create a blog for our family so we can remember fun times and silly things our kids say and do. We are living our 'American Dream' with four kids Stetson(8), Kyson(6), Kadence(5), and our little miracle Paislee (1). Here's a little 'Peek' into our world!!

School
I haven't plugged my camera into the computer and pulled pics off for awhile, so when I finally did and saw my kids first day of school pics I wanted to post them-better late than NEVER! Stetson went into 3rd grade this year, and man is that kid SMART! I'm so incredibly thankful he is such an amazing student and child, he blows me away with his knowledge and things he remembers. He loves learning about animals, reptiles, and doing science type stuff, but he is also a PHENOMENAL reader. Although Stet can be super duper head strong and stubborn, I love him to death and i'm so glad he chose me to be his mother. My sweet Kyson buddy went into 1st, I wasn't sure how exactly being at school all day would go for him, but of course he has done fantastic! He loves his teacher, recess, and of course lunch. He is growing up so much, his reading is getting better every week. Some days its still a little painful to listen to him sound out every single little letter of every single word, but he is improving and I LOVE it. He does great with numbers and counting, but his handwriting could use some improvement-we are working on it at home. Kys is a good boy with a huge heart, he loves talking and making new friends, but of course his cousin Carter is his best buddy at school, although they aren't in the same class. My not so little girl, Kadence went into Kindergarten...she had some MAJOR anxiety about going to school every day....some days she seemed excited and somedays I wondered if I should wait another year (she has a June bday, so she is a bit on the young side). I wasn't sure how the first day would go, but I promised her I would take her to class and stay for just a minute. We met up with Roy for lunch at subway then made our way home for a jacket-it was POURING rain-then off to school. We jumped through puddles and ran in trying not to get completely drenched. Once we reached her class she immediately teared up...I sat by her at her desk, meanwhile P ran around the classroom touching and grabbing everything she could get her fat hands on, I got her calmed down and coloring, took a pic and told her I had to leave. Then the water/fireworks REALLY began! Her teacher walked over and told her to tell mom goodbye, I hugged her, grabbed Pais and walked out. I could hear her sobs and crying all the way to the office at the other end of the building! It was heartbreaking, thank goodness I had Paislee to hug on and hide my tears. It was one of the hardest/saddest things I've ever done. But I knew the longer I hung around the worse it would be. I was a nervous, anxious wreck ALL afternoon, couldn't hold still or sit down. I paced, I checked the clock, I watched the rain, I checked the clock, I checked my phone, I checked the clock, I looked at my phone...Okay no news is good news...right? The school would have called if there was a real problem. Finally 4:00 came and my kids got off the bus....and guess what? Kadence was ALL SMILES! She had a great first day, wheW! The next day she fussed a little getting on the bus, but ever since she has loved going to school and gets super bored and lonely waiting at home for school time.
Kadence falling apart, I told her teacher-'Hey we are making memories' Haha
Trying hard to smile through her nervous tears...Break a mama's heart!
Was a bit sad to ride the bus, but she loves it now!!

Halloween 2014
So Roy doesn't really get too involved in the holiday stuff, but the kids and I had a BLAST for halloween. The kids were able to wear their costumes to school, which they loved!! After we got the boys ready and off, the girls and I went to the Rec to exercise-Kadence begged to wear her Elsa dress 'cause all the kids are wearing their costumes mom' so I let her. After that we hit up Kmart because I decided last minute I would dress up as a cat to take my kids trick or treating. Kmart had nothing! So we went to Walmart and I got a headband, some felt, and some face makeup. We then raced to the school to watch the costume parade, all the kids look great in their costumes, it was super fun to see all the creativity some parents have (I don't, haha) Then I took Kadence to her class and Pais and I went home for nap time. The older kids got home a few minutes before 1, early out Friday, and they played while I did Kadence's Elsa hair and makeup and did myself up. Then I painted the boys faces and it was time to go!! We went across the street to say to Melanie and her girls first-my kids have been begging to see baby Addi since she was born 1 1/2 weeks earlier. Then we headed to Grandma Darla's office to start filling up with treats!! We got the the Rec center for the Mayor's walk about 3:20 and there was already a HUGE line starting. We caught up with Heather and her girls ands stood around and visited for 40 minutes until it started. By the end my kids buckets were over half full, even Paislee's! We went into the gym to play some games before heading to my wards trunk or treat. We did stop by Grandm'a Vee's to say hi and re-adjust Kadence's hair extensions first. At the ward party there were more games, candy, all kinds of soups, bread, rolls, donuts, hot chocolate, more games, dancing, and Halloween town, where my kids buckets here completely full to the top! After that we went home and picked up Roy to go to Greg and Shandi's halloween party. We ate some more YUMMY food, adults played games, while kids played games and watched movies. It was super fun!! Roy and I went to the party as a plug in and cord-haha, pretty funny actually. We got some laughs but did not win the costume contest. We didn't get home and in bed until after midnight, but it was well worth it. Best halloween so far! We really had sooooo much fun. I love my little family so much, and I'm so grateful for each and every one of my sweet little children.

Family Pics 2014
My beautiful, talented niece Natasha Huber took our family photo's this fall and they turned out amazing! She was super cute and creative with posing us, and also patient and sweet with my children-HUGE PLUS! Paislee wasn't super thrilled, she was trying to cut some molars and we woke her up from her nap, but we got the shots and they are PERFECT!! Now I need help deciding what to print, suggestions welcomed!!

Turning 30
I don't usually complain much on Facebook or here, but I've been feeling down about my birthday ever since and I just can't shake these feelings so maybe if I just get them out in writing I can move on. And since I don't have many readers on my blog, no one will notice if I put my feelings on here. The weekend before my birthday we were in SLC for a farewell, we talked a little about how my birthday was coming up, but never once did my husband ask me what I wanted. This was not just any old birthday...it was my 30th! Since he didn't ask me, I stupidly thought maybe he had a surprise or something special planned. Tuesday September 2nd rolls around. Hubby gets up and leaves for work, he kisses me goodbye...I'm waiting to hear "Happy Birthday!"....it doesn't come....okay, oh well, he doesn't want to disturb me too much from my sleep. I get up at 7 and get my boys up and ready and off to school. I drop the girls off at my sis in laws while I go to my hair appt-she even says 'Happy Birthday' as I'm running to the car (late as usually). I go get my hair dyed and trimmed (got red in it like the hubby requested, who knows maybe we will go out on a HOT date later ;)) While at the hair dresser we talk about birthdays and how her husband forgot hers til later at night, and I tell her about last years birthday when my hubby didn't do anything for me either, I guess the day of my birth doesn't mean much to Roy.
After my hair appt I race to get my girls so I can get Kadence home, fed and on the bus for Kindergarten. All the while waiting for a phone call or even a happy birthday text from Roy....nothing comes. I decide I want an ice cream cake from Cold Stone for my Bday, so P and I go get one. Then Paislee naps, I do housework. That night Kadence has her first tumbling class, so I ask my sweet neighbor to keep Pais and the boys until Roy gets home, she agrees (she is the BEST neighbor and friend!!) After tumbling I call Roy to tell him I'm getting Papa Murphy pizza since we are just next door at dance, he request the chicken/bacon/artichoke. So I honor his request and also get a stuffed meat one as well. Kadence and I make it home and get the pizza in the oven. By this time its close to 7pm. Roy has all the kids loaded in the truck when I pull in the drive and he comes to find me and says he's going to get a new wheel for the lawn mower at Ace....he then proceeds to grin and say "Babe, I'm so sorry I completely forgot what day it was, happy birthday!" I just smile and say its fine. He takes all the kids and runs to the store and I just knew he would try to cover up his mistake and go get me something....but its too late. I couldn't believe he FORGOT it was my birthday, my 30th birthday! I felt terrible. Two crappy birthdays in a row. I eat without my family. I also send him a text that says to not bother getting me anything, its too late. As soon as they get home I leave to go get my tomatos from my grandma. I turn up really sick that night with a cross of the flu and a migraine, seriously what a crappy crappy birthday.
On the other hand for Roy's 30th birthday we make the drive to Richfield and order him a custom made saddle-$2500.00. He brings me home 2 roses and a bag of chocolates. 2 1/2 weeks later and it still hurts my feelings, who's husband forgets their wife's birthday 2 years in a row after being married for nearly 12 years?!!!
Thanks for letting me vent, I just needed to get it all out. If you read all the way to here you are a rock star!

Cheer Camp 2014
I signed Kadence up for cheer camp and then she got so upset about it and said she DID NOT want to do it! But....I really wanted her to and I thought if I could just get her there to try it she would have fun. Well come to find out the reason she didn't want to do it was because she didn't want me to leave her there. So day 1 I stayed for a while then snuck away for an hour and came back, she never knew I was gone. Day 2...tried the same thing and 45 minutes after I left I got a phone call that 'somebody really wants their mommy' so Day 3 I told her I would stay until P was ready for a nap then I'd come back to get her, we worked it out and she did great, day 4 same as day 3. Then day 5 was their performance...she was so dang cute and she loved every second of it!!
What Paislee is up to
I want to remember everything my little mouse is doing these days...it just amazes me the things she is learning and doing, I LOVE it! Paislee says ma-ma, da-da, uh-oh, water, hello, pop, more(sounds like mom), and today when she our cat boots she said 'Ki', oh and she also says something that sounds like tractor....or maybe sucker? Not sure on that last one, we just agree. She points her adorable little finger at everything and ohhs and awws. Its the cutest EVER! I can't remember my other babies at this stage, so I'm doing my best to soak it all up with P, so I never forget. She is so excited about everything, especially animals and water-of any kind, in a cup, in a lake, river, stream-ANY water fascinates her. She still does the best fish lips and open mouth kisses. She also pinches, pulls hair, and SCREAMS-loudly! She lets the kids know she does not want them to pick her up, LOL. I love watching Paislee's little bum as she walks/runs here and there. I love the way her eyes light up when her daddy comes home from work. Doesn't matter if she's in her high chair or just playing on the floor, she immediately wants his attention and to be picked up. She demands he take her with him wherever he goes ♥ I love all her adorable facial expressions and the way she holds her little hands out when she wants something. I love when she sees grapes in the drawer in the fridge and points and gets so excited, so I ask her if she wants some and she nods 'yes'. I love it when I ask her if she's all done and she shakes her head 'no' and then tries climbing out of her high chair. I love to go get her from the daycare at the rec center and see her light up to see me!! She squeals and almost jumps out of her caregivers arms, its so sweet. I love it when I say 'Wheres my sweet girl?' and she lays her head on me for a snuggle-its the BEST! I love to see all my children interact with their baby sister, I have the best kids in the whole world and no one can tell me differently. She loves food and will try anything. Although we are having the worst time with horrible diaper rashes, she is still a pretty happy girl and loves to just be free to run and play. I am taking her to Salt Lake in a few days to have some allergy testing done so we can see if we can figure out what is causing her bum to get so raw and bloody. Its just horrible!! We love our little Paislee Grace so very much. She is such a ray of sunshine in our home ♥
Her sweet begging hands, how could anyone not share with that sweet face?
